“In the first several months of life, a baby’s wants are a baby’s needs.”

- William Sears

Roma V. Seat’s clients say…

  • “Breastfeeding my first born was a breeze and so natural , so I assumed it would be that way with my second child. So I was shocked and completely at a loss of what to do when my daughter had trouble breastfeeding. She was born a month early, and her little mouth struggled to latch on. After many tearful attempts (from both my daughter and I), we were lucky enough to connect with Roma and I am forever grateful. When it comes to the tenderness and intimacy of breastfeeding, nobody is more gentle or professional than Roma. In addition to all of her lacatation knowledge, her kind words, encouragement, and loving care were just what my tender postpartum spirit needed. She was able to help me navigate through my breastfeeding troubles with gentle guidance over the phone as we were long distance. Her genuine passion to help and support was constant, and no question was left unanswered! My daughter eventually latched on and even though we ended up not exclusively breastfeeding, Roma's guidance continued on....helping me to navigate through milk supply issues. She was always there when I needed her cheering me and my baby girl along on this beautiful journey."

  • “When I was pregnant, I had hopes of nursing. This time I had been to La Leche League meetings. I could do this! Right? Maybe… I was going to have a beautiful homebirth and a beautiful baby girl after cancer. Put her to my breasts and there would be a magical moment. Then there wasn’t. It came crashing down like the world had been flipped and flipped back again. Suddenly I had a baby but she wasn’t mine. I didn’t give birth to her. I couldn't hold her. I was alone. Frantic, reaching far and wide, I cried out for help. Then Roma appeared... and so began our journey. I didn’t know the deep power you would have or the healing and strength it would give. When everything had been stolen from me, you Roma gave me a small nugget back. Every week that we met, you encouraged Nora to nurse. You gave me confidence in my body again. You were so sweet. Nora was doing it, as you would say. Twenty Seven months ago, just a simple text turned into more than you know. I have postpartum depression, OCD, and anxiety because of my birth trauma but you Roma were a bright star in that darkness. Anyone can be an LC or IBCLC, it takes someone like you to make the difference in a life. "

  • "I developed a clogged duct while breastfeeding and was experiencing quite a bit of pain. I was concerned about my situation developing into mastitis. Roma was willing to come to my house, troubleshoot the issue, and relieved my physical discomfort and emotional worry within an hour of her arrival. It was amazing! Roma's background as a NICU care provider and knowledge of babies was so helpful for her ability to assist me. I am so thankful she was able to visit me and I credit her for helping me stay committed to my breastfeeding journey."

  • "I went to Roma after having my daughter because she was choking on my milk and, instead of being a bonding experience, nursing her was stressful for both of us. Roma gave me tips on how to slow my letdown and positions that would make it easier for my daughter. One session changed everything for us! We went home that day and had a full feed without choking for the first time since she was born. Nursing went from a stressful experience to my favorite time to bond with my daughter."

  • "Roma is so kind and made me feel very comfortable which was really nice as a first time mom navigating breastfeeding. She not only provided me helpful tips on how to improve my breastfeeding journey, but also provided me guidance on other concerns I had regarding my baby. Her experience as a lactation consultant and a nurse was extremely helpful."

  • As a first time mom, I was feeling so many different emotions during my time spent in the hospital; frustration, fear, loneliness, anger sadness, and pure joy. Most of my sadness and anger came from being on the brink of divorce. My time in the hospital wasn’t the best to say the least. In all of the chaos and confusion, my one person in my corner was Roma. Roma and I met through my sister and we chatted on the phone. I called and texted her and she would quickly answer in a way that comforted and empowered me. She even followed up with me when I got home and weeks afterward. She taught me so much without ever seeing me. I will never forget the way she made me feel. Her gentleness, calm demeanor, and skillfulness was what I needed in moments of pure mayhem. Thank you so much Roma.

  • "Roma is the most wonderful gift a nursing mom could ask for. I had successfully breastfed two other children prior to my daughter. The challenges I seemed to encounter with breastfeeding my daughter felt heavy and unending. Roma was professional, providing me guidance, resources and an evidenced based approach to taking care of my nursing needs. She monitored the growth of my daughter well and supported me every step of the way. With Roma's encouragement and help I was able to meet and surpass my nursing goals. We made it 15 months! Thank you Roma for loving and caring for us so well. We will always be grateful for you."

  • "As a new mom, I had no idea how difficult my breastfeeding journey would be. Thank goodness for Roma! She is the best. She had a solution for every issue I experienced - from latching difficulties to clogged ducts, reduced milk supply, breast pumping, and more. She has a warm and welcoming demeanor that helped me feel confident and comfortable In myself. I greatly appreciate her kindness and talent which helped me get through some of my hardest postpartum days. I would’ve given up on breastfeeding if it weren’t for her, and I’m so glad I didn’t because my baby girl loves it! The bond we’ve been able to build through breastfeeding is so special and I am so thankful to have reached this point with Roma’s support and guidance. Thank you for everything Roma! You truly are an amazing person!"

  • "Roma was by far and continues to be the biggest supporter in my journey as a first time mom that extends beyond breastfeeding. I felt like I was doing everything wrong because our son was not gaining weight on the track he should have been. I had a negative experience with pediatrician and questioned everything I was doing until Roma came for first my first lactation visit. She reassured me and provided non-stop support for my breastfeeding, bottle and pumping journey. With each visit and days with our son, we seen huge progress thanks to Roma. She checks in frequently and always offers you support outside your appointments. Roma has a passion for helping babies and mothers and provides all options available. She takes the time to explain your options without judgement. I cannot recommend Roma enough, she was all the difference in a positive breastfeeding journey. "

  • "As much as I wish breastfeeding would’ve been like second nature for me it just wasn’t. Everyone always says how wonderful it is and how important for bonding and baby’s health but I quickly discovered breastfeeding was anything but easy. I contacted Roma after days of pain. I felt helpless and scared because none of my family members had experience with breastfeeding. Roma got back to me within hours of contacting her and explaining my symptoms. She offered some advice and scheduled a visit within days. Roma was a God send she not only helped me continue breastfeeding amongst my pain, and multiple autoimmune conditions. She also was immensely supportive no matter how I chose to feed my baby. She is wonderful, so kind and understanding. I will forever recommend her to all family and friends."
